$650K Settlement In Mendham Twp Cop's Ticketing Lawsuit

A patrolman has settled a lawsuit where he alleged he was passed over for promotions because he didn't issue enough tickets, a report says.

MENDHAM, NJ — A Mendham Township patrolman has reached a settlement with the township after he alleged he was passed over for promotions for not writing enough tickets.

Officer Robert Wysokowski settled his suit against the township and police department for $650,000, the Daily Record reported. Under the settlement, Wysokowski will not be promoted.

Wysokowski sued in 2014, saying he was passed over for promotions because he refused to profile young drivers and issued enough tickets to reach quotas set by the department.
