Attempted armed robbery in East Wallingford

There was an attempted armed robbery Tuesday night in East Wallingford.

Police say it happened at about 6 p.m. at Mac's Market on Route 103. The store clerk told police a white woman attempted to rob him, claiming she had a knife. The clerk said the suspect wore a black scarf over her face. She was between 5'4" and 5'6", and weighing 185 lbs. She was wearing a blue hooded-sweat shirt and dark pants.
