Jets safety Jamal Adams on Thursday blasted Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Bills quarterback Jake Fromm.

Brees and Fromm both apologized earlier Thursday for controversial, race-related comments.

Brees had spoken out against players who kneel during the national anthem to protest racial and social injustices. (And it’s almost all black players doing that, of course.)

Fromm had racist text messages from last year surface.

Adams ripped both quarterbacks for their apologies, which he doesn’t consider genuine:

Here are Fromm’s text messages:

Adams is one of the Jets’ most outspoken players, so it’s not a surprise that he would post a candid tweet like this.

Adams recently issued a passionate statement in the wake of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin killing a black man, George Floyd, after kneeling on his neck during an arrest. “Stop killing us,” Adams said in his statement.

And Adams expressed frustration — though not obvious outrage — after Brees’ initial comments, in which Brees spoke out against the kneeling protests, originated by now-former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“Dammit Drew...” is all Adams initially tweeted after Brees’ anti-kneeling comments spread. But Adams went after Brees and Fromm much harder Thursday, not hiding his anger about their comments. (And who can blame him at this point?)

Adams not only is one of the Jets’ most outspoken players, but also one of their best. He was their only first-team All-Pro selection last year.
