Adam Arkin is headed for NBC’s The Carmichael Show.
The Emmy winner has been tapped to play Maxine’s dad, Grant North, in an upcoming episode of the comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Described as a self-made man who demands excellence, Grant’s reserved and private nature is in stark contrast to the Carmichaels‘. So when he comes to town for Maxine’s graduation, Jerrod (star and co-creator Jerrod Carmichael) is determined to impress him. However, when Grant and Maxine (Amber Stevens West) engage in a brutally honest conversation in front of the entire family, Jerrod must stand up to him to try to mend the relationship.
