Otteson, Archie E. Former Minneapolis, Minnesota Resident, Archie E. Otteson, 94 died February 1, 2016 at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Otteson was born February 15, 1921 in Starbuck, MN to Elmer and Agnus Otteson. He was an only child and is survived by three cousins, Don Lund of San Clemente, CA; Doris Bakken of Starbuck, MN; and Stuart Otteson, a former Starbuck native and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Otteson married Eleanor Baugh, of Clear Lake, SD in 1947 and they settled in Columbia Heights, MN. Mrs. Otteson, his wife, passed away in 1989 preceding her husband's passing. The Ottesons had no children. Mr. Otteson was a Starbuck High School award winning athlete throughout his HS career and upon graduation attended Concordia College in Minneapolis. Mr. Otteson proudly served his country as a WWII veteran before joining the Minneapolis Star and Tribune as a District Sales Manager. Mr. Otteson was awarded District Sales Manager of the year on multiple occasions prior to retiring in 1982. Upon retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Otteson moved to Las Vegas, NV to enjoy their retirement years. Final arrangements include a funeral Mass at Transfiguration Catholic Church at 1815 Blackwell Rd, Marietta, GA at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2016. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Otteson preferred donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, dedicated to providing vital programs to feed, shelter, clothe, and educate the poor with a spirit of compassion, respect, and dignity.
