32-year-old man charged, accused of robbing Cayce bank

CAYCE, S.C. (WACH)-- One man is facing charges in connection with a bank robbery that occurred last week.

According to the Cayce Department of Public Safety, 32-year-old Matthew Alexander Young is facing charges in connection with the robbery of the CresCom Bank on Knox Abbott Drive.

He has been charged with strong arm robbery and will be held in violation of his parole.

The department says they would like to thank the Midlands community for sharing information and providing tips which led to Young's arrest.

The U.S. Marshal’s Columbia, South Carolina Fugitive Task Force also assisted in Young's arrest.
