The Brigitte Bardot-inspired sunglasses celebs can’t stop wearing this fall

The latest celebrity eyewear trend is taking a cue from the past.

Stars like Hailey Baldwin, Timothée Chalamet and Karlie Kloss have all been repeatedly spotted wearing the same pair of Oliver Peoples “Jaye” sunglasses ($480).

The slim, square silhouette from the brand’s resort 2020 collection is inspired by Brigitte Bardot’s iconic style and “plays on the juxtaposition of masculinity and femininity, offering a classic yet edgy vibe,” according to the company.

Kloss, 27, was the first to sport the specs, wearing them multiple times at the end of September. The model was first seen in her black pair while in Rome, teaming the low-key style with a tan suit and Manolo Blahnik “Maysale” suede pumps ($775).

Two days later, she brought back the sunglasses for Paris Fashion Week, wearing them with a blue Max Mara “Canga” oversized blazer ($1,590), “Turchia” mohair skirt ($575), “Kipur” turtleneck sweater ($525) and Gianvito Rossi “Portofino” sandals ($815).

Chalamet, 23, was the next star to show he’s a fan of the shades, wearing them in the bordeaux colorway as he left the BBC Radio studios in London at the beginning of October, along with a Rag & Bone “Lance” sweater ($250), Thom Browne check pants and Gucci “Ultrapace” sneakers ($790).

Finally, the new Mrs. Bieber, 22, jumped aboard the “Jaye” bandwagon this week, wearing her pair as she arrived at the Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood on Tuesday in a Reformation “Carrie” top ($38), Mm6 Maison Margiela wide-leg trousers ($680), gold Jennifer Fisher “Mini Samira” hoops ($295), white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers ($90) and a black Louis Vuitton “New Wave” bumbag ($1,820).
