Niceville man seriously injured in crash

A Niceville man is seriously injured after officials say he fell asleep and crashed into another car Thursday morning in Okaloosa County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Zachariah Howard, 27, was driving his truck North on State Road 293 on the Mid-Bay Bridge when he fell asleep and drifted into the other lane.
Another vehicle was driving South on State Road 293 and was hit by Howard. Howard then crashed into the concrete bridge face.
He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
