Experience Hendrix Tour

The latest version of this ongoing Jimi Hendrix celebration brings an army of top-tier players including Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Keb' Mo', Dweezil Zappa, Doyle Bramhall II, the Slide Brothers, Mato Nanji and Beth Hart, performing with a band led by bassist and Hendrix compatriot Billy Cox. 7:30 p.m., Fox Theatre, 2211 Woodward, Detroit. 313-471-6611. $28.50-$88.50.

Friday

Dick Wagner Memorial Concert

The previous two editions of this annual benefit show raised more than $50,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a cause close to the heart of Dick Wagner, the revered Michigan rock guitarist who died in 2014. This year's event will include performances from Mark Farner and Suzi Quatro — who will also link up for a Chuck Berry tribute — along with Kip Winger, Robert Wagner, Jimmie Bones, Johnny (Bee) Badanjek, the Accidentals, Thornetta Davis and more. Auctioned memorabilia will include autographed Hollywood Vampires guitars and a canvas print of "Lose Yourself" lyrics signed by Eminem. 5:30 p.m., Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel, 2901 Grand River, Detroit. 313-237-7711. Standard tickets are $25-$75; VIP packages ($120) include meet-and-greet and priority seating; Super VIP ($150) also includes access to Thursday night's rehearsals.

Saturday

Yo Gotti and Migos

One veteran Southern rapper — 35-year-old Yo Gotti — is joined by three of the hottest young ones in the form of Migos, whose sophomore album "Culture," led by the left-field single "Bad and Boujee," has been one of 2017's biggest hits. 7 p.m., Masonic Temple, 500 Temple, Detroit. 313-832-7100. $59.50-$150.

John Doe and Exene Cervenka

Expect a stripped-down set of X and Knitters material from these longtime musical collaborators, leading a fund-raising benefit for the Hamtramck art gallery Public Pool. Also performing will be Ryan Spencer, the Vitas, Supercoolwicked, Yada Yada and James Insight. 7 p.m., Jam Handy, 2900 E Grand Blvd, Detroit. $15. brownpapertickets.com

Sunday

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness

Sticky-sweet melodies and yearning vocals are the stock-in-trade of this piano-pop tunesmith, who made his name with Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin and is now touring in support of his second solo full-length, "Zombies on Broadway." 6 p.m., the Fillmore Detroit, 2115 Woodward, Detroit. 313-961-5450. $25 and up.

The Sonics

One of the White Stripes' prime influences was this '60s garage rock band out of Seattle, now led by original member Rob Lind and featuring recent additions Evan Foster on guitar and Jake Cavaliere on keyboard. 8 p.m., El Club Detroit, 4114 W. Vernor Hwy., Detroit. $20.

Monday

Green Day

The Fillmore Detroit was among a handful of dates when Green Day warmed up for its "Revolution Radio" tour with a theater run in the fall. Now the full-fledged tour is under way as the long-running punk-pop trio supports the politically charged album, a thematic sequel of sorts to 2004's "American Idiot." Opening is Against Me! 8 p.m., Joe Louis Arena, 600 Civic Center, Detroit. 313-396-7000. $29.50-$75.

Wednesday

Bon Jovi

Could this be the final rock show at Joe Louis Arena? A few assorted events remain on the books for the doomed Detroit venue — set to be replaced by Little Caesars Arena in the fall — but none featuring a rock artist. So that means Bon Jovi may be the bookend on a long rock-concert history that started with a Rush doubleheader in 1980. The band is winding into the final weeks of its This House Is Not for Sale Tour and has rewarded its Joe Louis support slot to Michigan band IAMDYNAMITE, local winner of an opening-act contest. 7:30 p.m., Joe Louis Arena, 600 Civic Center, Detroit. 313-396-7000. $19.75-$149.75.
