Police in Burnaby are investigating a home invasion and subsequent shooting.
Just before 3:00 p.m., a home in the 1000 block of Augusta Avenue was invaded. Twenty minutes later, a man was found with a gunshot wound at the 3800 block of Hastings Street, six kilometres west of the home invasion.

At this point, police aren’t saying much about the two incidents, except that they believe the two are related.
