Jonah Hill joins Django Unchained

Jonah Hill had earlier had to turn down Quentin Tarantino because of a scheduling conflict

Jonah Hill is reportedly the latest actor to sign up for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming spaghetti Western.

The Get Him To The Greek actor - who was nominated for an Oscar for last year's Moneyball - joins a lengthy list of stars in Django Unchained, including Jamie Foxx, Samuel L Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, Kurt Russell, Don Johnson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Jonah, 28, was originally in the frame to play Scotty Harmony, who loses Django's slave wife to a wicked plantation owner, but was unable to commit due to a scheduling conflict, reports Deadline.

However, it seems that Tarantino kept him in mind and he has now been cast in another role. So far no details about the part have been released.

Sacha Baron Cohen will now play Scotty in the film, which is due to be released in December.
