Police Seek Armed Liquor Store Robber

Suspect able to escape scene with money in hand

Police in Tewksbury, Massachusetts are seeking a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at Main St. Liquors Monday evening.

Officers were dispatched to 391 Main Street just after 9:00 p.m. Upon arrival, the store clerk stated that one male suspect had entered the store armed with a gun and a large knife. The suspect demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied with his demands. The suspect fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The clerk described the suspect as being a heavy, light skinned male in his twenties, standing approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a red sweatshirt with white lettering, blue gloves and black sweatpants at the time of the incident.

Police conducted a comprehensive search of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
