'The Three Musketeers'

3 p.m. March 3. Lucas Theatre, 32 Abercorn St. The Savannah College of Art and Design performing arts department continues its winter season with Ken Ludwig's family-friendly swashbuckling adventure, "The Three Musketeers," adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas. Both the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club located at 510 East Charlton St. and the Kayton Frazier Boys & Girls Club located at 801 Brewer St. are accepting ages Grade K to age 18. RAD self-defense training for mothers and daughters

9 a.m.-6 p.m. March 23. Armstrong Atlantic State University. The Armstrong Atlantic State University Police Department is reaching out to the community to offer a self-defense training class for women. This class is a Rape Aggression Defense course that caters specifically to mothers and their teenage daughters. RAD provides an opportunity for women to learn techniques for protecting themselves in unsafe, dangerous situations. The training will be offered free of charge. Registration deadline is March 5. College Goal Georgia to help students with financial aid applications

5-8 p.m. March 6. The Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn St. February is Financial Aid Awareness month, and after a month of financial aid workshops on campus, Armstrong Atlantic State University is hosting College Goal Georgia for a public event to help anyone in the community complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Participants need to bring the following items for students and parents: social security number, driver's license, 2012 W-2s, 2012 taxes, untaxed income records, alien registration or permanent resident card. 'GenerationNEXT: Savannah's Rising Stars of Business'

'The Shadow Man' Book Trailer Competition 2013

Through March 11. Savannah author and physician Dr. Mark Murphy is announcing a web-based book trailer competition for his thriller, "The Shadow Man." Trailers (1-3 minutes in length) should take advantage of the Savannah setting while incorporating aspects of the city that are present in the story. The iconic cover shot of the Forsyth Park Fountain at night must be incorporated into each video as well as links to the author's website and Facebook page. Health Careers Summer Camp

July 21-27. Armstrong Atlantic State University's College of Health Professions announces its inaugural College Health Careers Summer Camp scheduled for July 21-27. The camp is for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in a career in health care. The Health Careers Summer Camp is an excellent opportunity for high school students to explore a career path and get a taste of college life. While students are attending camp, they will stay in one of Armstrong's residence halls and become immersed in the college setting. To apply, students need a minimum GPA of 3.0 and PSAT/SAT score minimums of 530 in critical reading and 430 in math with an overall score of 1000. The required ACT scores are 24 in English and 18 in math, with a composite score of 21. The cost of the camp is $150, and the application deadline is March 15. 'Licensure, Practice and the Future'

SCAD Museum of Art, 601 Turner Blvd. Michael Armstrong, CEO of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, explores how the approach, value and relevance of licensure cannot remain static in an environment of evolving approaches impacting the built environment. Armstrong's career includes the practice of law and management positions in government and the private sector, including senior positions at the International Code Council and FEMA. He holds a B.A. in English and B.S. in journalism from the University of Colorado and a J.D. from Pepperdine University.

Junior League accepting Kids Who Care scholarship applications

Through March 15. Kids Who Care is a program designed to salute high school seniors who have made a positive difference in the lives of others by volunteering. Five $1,000 college scholarships will be awarded to local seniors from the Lowcountry area in recognition of their outstanding volunteer service and community involvement. These scholarships are not based on academic or athletic ability. Free tax assistance and preparation

Through April 12. Live Oak Public Library, 2002 Bull St. and Live Oak Public Library-SW Chatham Branch, 14097 Abercorn St. AARP Foundation is again providing free tax preparation assistance and e-filing of both federal and state returns for taxpayers with low to moderate incomes through the AARP Tax-Aide program, a free tax assistance and preparation service giving special attention to people older than 60. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service. The Bull Street Library will provide services from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. The Southwest Chatham Library will provide services from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Prescription drug drop-off program

Armstrong Atlantic State University has been selected by the Medical Association of Georgia as the Savannah area's year-round prescription drug drop-off location. The Armstrong Police Department now hosts a permanent drop box for accepting unused prescription drugs, which is located in the lobby of the university police building on campus, 11935 Abercorn St. The police department is open 24 hours a day, year-round. The program is open to the public, and all drop-offs are confidential.

'Preparing for Citizenship' class

9:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. March 16. Southwest Chatham Library, 14097 Abercorn St. The Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a "Preparing for Citizenship" class for immigrants wishing to prepare for their U.S. citizenship test and interview. The class will run for six consecutive Saturdays, beginning March 16. The fee for this class is $50. However, the first 50 participants will pay only a $10 administration fee. StarGuard Lifeguard Course

Chatham County Aquatic Center, 7420 Sallie Mood Drive. Chatham County Aquatic Center will host a StarGuard Lifeguard Course on March 22-24 and April 5-7. Skill requirements include: swim 200 yards, one-minute water tread with no hands and ability to dive and retrieve a 10-pound brick from 9 feet of water. CPR and first aid included. St. Patrick's Regatta 2013

March 23-24. The Geechee Sailing Club will be sponsoring the 34th annual St. Patrick's Regatta on March 23-24. Open to all self-righting yachts of 20 feet length or greater overall, the regatta draws an average of 25 competitors from an area extending from Charleston to Brunswick. Races will be in the Wilmington River between Turner's Creek and "R2W." Registration will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. March 22 at Tubby's Tank House in Thunderbolt. Digging Savannah Archaeology Lecture Series

6 p.m. March 27. Armstrong's Ogeechee Theatre in the Student Union, 11935 Abercorn St. Armstrong Atlantic State University announces its first semester-long program devoted to archaeology, Digging Savannah. The grant-funded program, led by archaeology and anthropology faculty members Barbara Bruno and Laura Seifert, will bring a number of noted leaders in the field. Digging Savannah will go underwater on March 27 with Chris McCabe's "Georgia's Archaeology Underwater: A Coastal Perspective."

Digging Savannah Archaeology Lecture Series

Prescription drug drop-off program

Armstrong Atlantic State University has been selected by the Medical Association of Georgia as the Savannah area's year-round prescription drug drop-off location. The Armstrong Police Department now hosts a permanent drop box for accepting unused prescription drugs, which is in the lobby of the university police building on campus, 11935 Abercorn St. The police department is open 24 hours a day, year-round. The program is open to the public, and all drop-offs are confidential.
