What’s the story?

The Dudley Boyz are headed into the WWE Hall of Fame this April and they’ll be inducted by one of their greatest rivals.

Edge and Christian were revealed as the men to induct The Dudley Boyz into the WWE Hall of Fame, as per Sirius XM Busted Open.

In case you didn’t know...

The Dudley Boyz made their name in ECW by winning the World Tag Team Championships eight times before leaving the company for WWE during the Attitude Era.

The Dudleyz' biggest rivals in WWE were Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz, all of whom fought over the WWE World Tag Team Championships until the end of the Attitude Era.

The heart of the matter

The tag team matches The Dudley Boyz had with The Hardyz and Edge and Christian are remembered as some of the great tag team wrestling matches in WWE History.

Their biggest achievements were the tables, ladders and chairs match that defined tag team wrestling for the Attitude Era.

During their feud, the Tag Team Championships changed hand 17 times between the three teams and made up the bulk of each wrestler's Championship reigns in their WWE careers.

Edge was the only wrestler of the six to stay with the WWE throughout the duration of his career. Christian, The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz all left the company for various independent promotions or Impact Wrestling at one point or another.

The Dudley Boyz returned to WWE in 2015 and ended their WWE run in fall 2016 without winning the Raw Tag Team Championships. The following year, The Hardy Boyz returned to the WWE and won the titles in their grand return at WrestleMania 33.

What’s next?

The WWE Hall of Fame Induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 6 and will feature the inductions of Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Mark Henry, Ivory and others.

Author’s take

Edge and Christian are still an entertaining duo and they’ll give the Dudley Boyz a great induction.
