Cops hunting second young man after Israel Ogunsola, 17, was knifed to death in Hackney
COPS are still hunting for a second suspect over the stabbing of Israel Ogunsola in east London.
A 17-YEAR-old has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death on the streets of London.
Met Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward in a bid to trace the other person, said to be involved in the alleged attack.
Scotland Yard's Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine said: "Whilst we have one male appearing in court charged with Israel's murder, another remains at large.
"We are particularly keen to trace a second suspect described as a young black male wearing black clothing who was at the scene of the murder.
"There are people in the area who know what happened that have yet to call police.
"Their information is vital to building a clearer picture of what took place, securing important evidence and apprehending everyone involved. We need you to call.
"A young man with his whole life ahead of him has been murdered and his grieving family deserve answers and justice."
Israel Ogunsola, 18, was found by police in Hackney after they were alerted by a motorist on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old male has appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court and was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
A second youth arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed.
The teenager from Hackney was friends with gunned-down Tanesha Melbourne and survived being stabbed five times on New Year's Eve.
Ogunsola died 25 minutes after cops were flagged down to find the stabbed 18-year-old near his home in East London.
Israel had survived a previous attack when he was targeted alongside a friend on Old Street, North London, as a "warning" by a rival gang.
A friend, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "Israel was lovely, I couldn't believe it when I heard he had been killed.
"He was stabbed five times at St Bart's Court over New Year as well, I would not have let him out the house if it were my son.
"I cannot believe that this has happened to him, that stabbing was a warning and now he is dead.
"He nearly died. They had to save his life."
A Facebook profile in his name shows Israel was friends with Melbourne just days ago.

Devastated pals referenced deadly gang turf disputes and "post code wars" while paying tribute to the "intelligent and humble" IT student.
Morgan, 19, told Sun Online: “I would just like to say that he was the most kind-hearted guy ever! A soul that will truly be missed by many.
“He’s a friend that wouldn’t see you everyday but when he did see you it’s like you never missed a day without each other.
“Honestly a good guy with great intentions.”
Morgan wrote in a tribute on Instagram: “Ever felt your heart drop right into your chest?
“I can’t believe we’ve lost you, this evening, honestly, I’m lost for words."
One friend, who came to see the spot where Israel, known as Izzy, died, said: "He was humble, he was just caught up in it.
"It's the norm being part of gang activity, what do you expect to happen, he was involved in that sort of thing."
The pal, who went to Hackney's City Academy with Israel, added: "I used to sit on the lunch table with him, he was greedy.
"All of his friends had gone to uni, they went to Leicester, Birmingham, to get out the ends, to get out the hood.
"This is like the purge, it's like a post code war. There are so many gangs; Balance, Homerton, The 9, Fields, ZT, Kingsmead, Jack Dunning."
Cops today confirmed the Hertfordshire University student was murdered on the same night a 53-year-old man died in a Betfred in nearby Clapton.
Israel's dad, Dele, told the Standard his son was a "well brought up boy" and added: "The bloodshed must stop. London’s streets are so dangerous. Young people are being slaughtered every day.
"If it means bringing back more stop and search, then so be it. We have to tackle this problem and the Government needs to do more.”
Ch Supt Sue Williams, leading Hackney borough, said: "Sadly yesterday saw two people lose their lives in Hackney, a man aged 53 in Upper Clapton Road and an 18-year-old man in Link Street.
"Our thoughts are with the friends and families of both men at this awful time.
"I completely understand how alarmed and worried the local community will be at hearing the news this morning and we are working closely with the Homicide and Major Crime Command to solve these murders - two arrests have already been made in the Link Street incident.
"In Hackney we are working hard to prevent further violence and keep people safe - we have extra officers on the streets, both highly visible and in plain clothes carrying out a range of intelligence-led operations and patrols."

The latest bloodbath comes just days after two teenagers were gunned down in North London bringing the total of people have now been killed on London streets since the start of the year to 53.
Scotland Yard said it is currently investigating 55 suspected murders since the beginning of 2018 - including the deaths of two children whose bodies were found in Sussex.
The Met police and London Mayor Sadiq Khan are under increasing pressure to put an end to the bloodshed after eight murder probes were launched in London in January, 15 in February and 22 in March.
