Looking for work? These companies are rated tops for remote jobs

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Living in a digital world -- where nearly everyone has mobile devices at their fingertips and works on laptops -- has made it easier than ever before to work from home in a variety of industries.

This allows people to avoid long commutes to an office, and often affords flexible work hours.

A recent report from the Society for Human Resources Management revealed that 69% of organizations allowed employees to work from home -- at least for a portion of their workday hours -- in 2019.

And working from home doesn’t mean you can’t earn high wages. A recent State of Remote Work report put out by Owl Labs, stated that 24% of remote workers earn $100,000 or more. Only 7% of workers who report to an office full-time earn $100,000.

According to job-search website FlexJobs, the seven fast-growing remote career categories for work-from-home job opportunities are: art and creative work; bookkeeping; internet and ecommerce; K-12 related education work; graphic desig; translation; math and economics.
