Japanese, Chinese, South Korean leaders set to host Trump

US president to visit five countries during Asia tour in November

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with leaders from at least five Asian countries during a tour of the region Nov. 3-14 that includes Japan, China and South Korea, the White House said Monday.

The president begins in Hawaii, where he will visit Pearl Harbor. Trump then lands Nov. 5 in Tokyo, before he sees Prime Minister Shinzo Abe the following day. Trump also will meet with families of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea as well as with officials from the U.S. military and Japan's Self-Defense Forces.
