Two fourteen year old boys are facing two dozen charges after a rash of break-ins in Barrie

The most recent break-in happened just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning when an officer on patrol located two teens on what appeared to be a stranded motorcycle in a south east neighborhood.

Officers circled back to help and then the pair dumped the bike and fled the scene. Police were able to arrest one of the teens quickly.

Police determined the motorcycle had just been stolen from a nearby home and the teen was arrested for break and enter and theft.

After interviewing victims and through the investigation, police were able to link the two teens to a recent rash of break and enters in the area of Marshall Street and Thorncrest Rd.

The two are now facing a total of 24 charges which include break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and theft.
