Charlottesville Violence Sparks Message Of Unity In Sag Harbor: Photos

Charlotteville's violence brought young and old, carrying signs, together with a message of unity in Sag Harbor Sunday.

SAG HARBOR, NY — As a nation reacted to news of Saturday's violence in Charlottesville, VA, young and old gathered at the windmill in Sag Harbor with a message of unity and love.

"Do all you can, for all the people you can, for as long as you can," a sign, held by a small child, said.

Others denounced President Donald Trump and white supremacists.

"Remember Charlottesville," another little boy's sign read.

The protest was one of many across the nation Sunday. Another was held on the East End in Greenport, where a large crowd gathered in Mitchell Park to speak out against hatred and bigotry, some recalling the pain of the Holocaust with tears in their eyes.
