Snowdean Iris Arnold

Snowdean Iris Arnold of Eudora, KS passed away peacefully on December, 9th, 2013. Snowdean was born in Calico Rock, AR on May 10, 1928 to Winfred and Amy Ball. She was married to Collie G. Arnold for 56 years. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Mrs. Arnold moved from Arkansas to Kansas in 1952. She lived most of her adult years in DeSoto, KS where she raised four daughters. She is known to many for her love of antiques and especially antique dolls. She started her buying and selling days in Quantrill’s Flea Market. She and family members opened The Antique Mall on Massachusetts St in Lawrence in 1990. Many people came to love and respect Snowdean for her integrity and kindness.
She is survived by her four daughters, Debbie Kester and husband Terry, Riverside, CA; Evelyn Bourland and husband Don, Granbury, TX; Pam Murphy and husband Earl, Eudora, KS; Karen Arnold Lasley and husband Robert, Lawrence; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Lonnie Noel Ball and wife Hope of Eudora, KS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Duane, Jesse, Blane, and Don Ball and her sister Amy Stephens.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, December 12 at the DeSoto Baptist Church, 8655 Church St., DeSoto, KS.
