We’ve got the Joker, Riddler, Harley Quinn, Two-Face and many, many more. Not only that, but we also get some of DC’s heroes, like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Robin and a few others. Overall, it’s a fun, playful and visually appealing piece of promotional material, one which has us very excited for the film’s release in February.

Headed up by Chris Weitz – with producing support from The LEGO Movie‘s Phil Lord and Chris Miller – LEGO Batman finds the World’s Greatest Detective at a particularly lonely point in his life of fighting crime and saving the day. Housed up deep within the bowels of the Batcave with only his loyal butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes) for company, it’s only when the overly enthused Robin (Michael Cera) stumbles into his secretive domain that Will Arnett’s bite-sized hero springs into action. And not a moment too soon. Thanks to the Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) wicked ways, Gotham is pushed to the brink once more.

The LEGO Batman Movie is set to arrive on February 10, 2017, when Weitz’s spinoff will be facing stiff competition from both Fifty Shades Darker and action sequel John Wick: Chapter 2.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
