Joyful photos show tragic newlyweds Amy and Axel Steenberg celebrating their marriage with members of the wedding party — five of whom died with them just weeks later in Saturday’s limo crash upstate.
The pictures were shot June 30, when Amy and Axel were wed at St. Stephen’s Church in Hagaman, New York, then partied during a reception at The Saratoga Winery in Saratoga Springs.
For one picture, the happy couple posed hand-in-hand in a sunlit field, with Amy clutching her bridal bouquet in an outstretched arm as Axel clicks his heels.
Another image shows Amy holding the flowers while standing next to a six-man human pyramid topped by her new hubby, who’s also pictured sticking out his tongue and holding her bouquet aloft as he lies in the arms of all seven women in the wedding party.
That group included Amy’s three sisters who died in the limo crash: maid of honor Allison King and bridesmaids Mary Dyson and Abigail Jackson.
Jackson’s husband, groomsman Adam Jackson, and Dyson’s husband, Robert Dyson, were also killed, as was groomsman Matthew Coons.
A total of 18 people died inside the limo — including the driver, who wasn’t properly licensed — while en route to the Ommegang brewery to celebrate Amy’s 30th birthday, which is actually Wednesday.
Two other people were killed by a parked car that was hit by the limo as it careened out of control through the parking lot of the Apple Barrel Country Store & Cafe in Schoharie.
