By Comedian Tony Rock has been cast in Judah Miller's ABC pilot.
The single-camera comedy follows two parents with an athletic son, as they are thrust into the world of youth sports.
Rock - the younger brother of Chris Rock - is playing Ty, who acts as a foil to his brother-in-law Gary, reports Deadline.
Smash star Megan Hilty was previously cast as Irene, a Tony Award-winning mother trying to adjust to life as a suburban mother. Efren Ramirez also stars.
The project is written by Miller and executive produced by Tom Lassally and Jonathan Berry.
Other comedy pilots in development at ABC include Ken Jeong's Dr Ken, an untitled basketball project, Delores & Jermaine with Whoopi Goldberg, The 46 Percenters, Martha Plimpton-starring Family of the Year, and Fortune Feimster's Family Fortune.
