According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, dispatch received a 911 call around 9 a.m. from Randy Herman, 24, stating that, "Someone's been murdered."
He continued to tell dispatch, "Just send the police it was me, I'm sorry."
Deputies responded and located Herman at Haverhill Park who had blood on his shirt, pants, arms, and legs.
The release states that Deputies then responded to the home on Sarazen Drive and located what appeared to be blood droplets leading into the home.
The body of 21-year-old Brooke Preston was located inside of the home.
Herman was brought in for questioning where he stated that only him and Preston were at the residence and that "he must have done it."
