Bon Jovi, a native of Sayreville, is pals with Kraft and Belichick. Bon Jovi was a regular on the sidelines of New York Giants games during their 1990 Super Bowl season when Belichick was an assistant coach.

“He’s a great friend,” said Belichick said of Bon Jovi after the 2017  AFC Championship.  “He’s been a great friend for a long time, all the way back into the ‘80s and we shared a lot of great moments together, including the 1990 Super Bowl in Tampa, when he was in the locker room after the game, taking crazy pictures and stuff like that. Great memories from there.”

The playing of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” during the NFL playoffs has become a  Rite of Winter at Gillette Stadium.

Jon and wife Dorothea brought kids Jesse 24, Jacob and Stephanie, 26, to the annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit, Aug. 3 at The Creeks in East Hampton, New York. Kraft was also at the gala.
