A Firestone woman accused of abusing residents at a Longmont nursing home was arrested again Saturday at Longmont United Hospital.

Michelle Chambers, 39, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, criminal mischief of less than $300 and resisting arrest.

According to an arrest affidavit, Chambers scratched a hospital employee’s arm, drawing blood, and tried to bite a security guard. Hospital staff also told police that she scratched at some of the walls, causing some damage.

Chambers was arrested Thursday following an investigation into alleged abuse at Life Care Center in Longmont, where she formerly worked as a certified nursing assistant. She was out of custody on those charges on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

Chambers will make her first appearance on the new charges Monday afternoon at Boulder County Jail.
