VA could make use of closed hospital

I whole heartily agree with Clifford Carr in his letter published March 12.in which he challenged both St. Frances Medical Center and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to seriously consider buying or leasing the old St. Frances North campus for the purpose of creating a much needed VA hospital,

When I first heard rumors of St. Francis closing the facility my first thoughts were, why can’t VA acquire that property and move in and provide the beds that are needed by deserving vets? Now I read articles about the lack of beds with veterans waiting weeks or longer or having to drive so far to find a bed.

Come on, St. Francis marketing department, this would unload a piece of property that is going to pot as we talk.

Come on VA, look at the obvious.

Come on Rep. Ralph Abraham, get these folks together and make a local VA hospital a reality.
