Malaysia Pargo Spills Tea On Bambi's Upcoming Wedding and Refuses to Say Draya's Name

"We grew up together, I've known her since I was about 16 years old so there is no way that I would not be in the wedding."

Long before Bambi Benson was on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, she showed up on season two of Basketball Wives LA, as the best friend to Malaysia Pargo. The twosome go way back, like way back to high school and growing up in Compton together.

When word of Bambi's engagement to rapper Lil Scrappy went public, we had to get some inside scoop from the Bam's BFF. That, and just a little tea on her former friend Draya Michele, whose name she refuses to say. Oop.

So, Bambi's engaged! Did you know Scrappy was going to propose?

Malaysia Pargo: I knew that it was coming but I didn't know that he was going to do it that day. Once it happened, she called me and told me that day before, the world knew.

Do you think you'll be part of the wedding or help wedding plan?

For sure, for sure. I will definitely be a part of the wedding. Bambi is still one of my best friends, as well. Nothing has changed just because she's on Love & Hip Hop [Atlanta]. We speak at least twice a week and we've just seen each other in Miami, so yes. We grew up together, I've known her since I was about 16 years old so there is no way that I would not be in the wedding.

I spoke to Bambi a couple weeks ago and she said that she and Scrappy are in such a great place and will be getting married sooner than later but she said they only have problems when their filming Love & Hip Hop. Do you give her advice about how to live her life on television? Do you tell her they should get off reality TV?

I give her advice when she asks for it but when it comes down to their show, their show is a different animal than [Basketball Wives] so I can't really give her advice on how to maneuver on their show. I really don't understand how they film and what's in the content and the stuff that they do. We don't film the same way that they film. I can only give her advice on being a wife and being a fiancée, a longtime girlfriend. I can give her real-life advice but I can't give her advice on filming her show.

Is it hard to keep things private on reality television? Like on Basketball Wives, is their a way to maneuver that and keep certain things off limits?

Nope. [Laughs] You might as well just tell the truth because they're going to find out anyway.

Do you think you learned that the hard way because stuff has come out that you didn't want to come out on television?

No, no, I just see and it's not like I hid stuff and they found it out, I've just seen from other people and I'm like, "Okay, yeah, I might as well just tell the truth because I don't want that to happen to me." I rather give it to you than you take it and then I'm surprised.

Do you have any tea you can give me about Bambi's wedding? When it will be or where or bridesmaid dresses?

No, no, no, no. You gotta get all that tea from Brandi, I mean Bambi.

As far as your relationships with the rest of the basketball wives, where do things stand with you and the ladies? It seems like you and Angel Brinks left things in a weird place at the reunion.

I felt like last season Angel took advantage of my kindness. I felt like her friend [Laughs] guided her in a way, to try and destroy my image and I felt like with her business I did nothing but to try and promote her. Not saying that she needs my help but as one businesswoman to another, just trying to help and I felt like she did things on purpose to try and make it seem like I wasn't trying to help her so I was in a bad light. That is where my issue with Angel is, and I felt like she knew exactly what she was doing.

When you say there was a "friend" helping her destroy your image are you referring to Draya?

I will never say her name.

I'm assuming you guys haven't spoken then since she left the show or had a baby?

Who?
