When Amazon Prime Day kicks off at 3 p.m. July 16, there will be a plethora of deals, ranging from discounts on Amazon products such as the Echo to deals on sporting goods.

And even before its premier event kicks off, Amazon is offering a $10 credit to customers to use on Prime Day if they scan their Prime Code or use their mobile number at a Whole Foods from July 11 to 17 on a single purchase of $10 or more, according to Whole Foods.

According to CNNMoney, this is the first year Amazon is incorporating Whole Foods into Amazon Prime Day, but it is not surprising to market analysts.

"Amazon has a relationship with (about 60 million households) in the U.S., and (these people) are definitely big consumers," Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush, previously told CNNMoney. "Why not drive their traffic into Whole Foods?"

Customers with an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card can also earn up to 10 percent back on Whole Foods purchases up to $400 when they use the card at the grocery store from July 14 to 17, according to Whole Foods.

Amazon Prime Day is a shopping extravaganza where people who are Amazon Prime members are privy to "hundreds of thousands" of deals, according to Business Insider. Amazon Prime costs $12.99 a month or $99 for a year.

For the first time, the event will last 36 hours, eclipsing last year's 30-hour shopping spree.

According to TechRadar, which previously discovered when Prime Day would be before Amazon announced it, speculated that the deals would include:

  • An Amazon Prime subscription drive in the days or weeks leading up to Prime Day 2018.
  • Discounts on Amazon products like a Fire TV stick, Kindles, and the Echo and Echo Dot.
  • Amazon Marketplace's heavy involvement. Marketplace is an e-commerce platform where third-party people can sell new or used items.

Here are other deals from last year.
