A child-abuse charge filed against former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Roy Lee Miller has been dropped, according to Duval County court records.

Miller, 31, was arrested early April 24 on the charge, his second local arrest since late 2017, according to jail records.

The original incident report stated officers were called to an hospital emergency room on Town Center Parkway by a nurse about 11:20 p.m. April 23 in reference to a child abuse. The nurse told officers the child had been taken there for medical attention due to something a witness noticed when the child's diaper was being changed. The individual, whose name was redacted in the report, told investigators the child told her what looked like a rash "hurts" and Miller was accused.

In November 2017 Miller also was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery and was ultimately remanded to a pre-trial intervention program. That program was successfully completed, according to court records.

The 31-year-old spent 2017 with the Kansas City Chiefs, 2013 to 2016 with the Jaguars and 2009 to 2012 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Miller’s wife filed for divorce in January 2018, court records show.
