Pleasanton Dad Flies To UK To Molest Teen He Met Via Video Game

The man, who was in his late 30s at the time, met the 14-year-old girl, who lived in the United Kingdom, while playing Clash of Clans.

OAKLAND, CA — A Pleasanton man was convicted in federal court this week of child enticement and traveling to meet a minor for illicit conduct, according to a report in the Mercury News. More than four years ago, David John Telles Jr., now 42, met the 14-year-old victim, who was a resident of Cornwall in the United Kingdom, while playing Clash of Clans.

Telles, who was employed as a carpet fitter at the time, met the girl in the United Kingdom and planned to marry her in Scotland after developing an online relationship with her, according to the report. Officials said the father of two children sexually assaulted the victim during the 48-hour period before they were found by authorities. Read the full story here.
