Atlanta Braves to unveil Hank Aaron statue at SunTrust Park on March 29

The Atlanta Braves will host an Evening with Hank Aaron at SunTrust Park on March 29 to celebrate the unveiling of his new statue. The fundraising event will benefit Aaron’s Chasing the Dream Foundation. Aaron will be in attendance for the celebration which will take place starting at 7 p.m. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public.

The evening will also mark the official opening of the Hank Aaron Terrace which is located inside SunTrust Park. A cocktail reception will follow the statue unveiling with Braves radio broadcaster Jim Powell moderating a special conversation with Aaron.

“We are eager to unveil Hank Aaron’s new statue, not only because it celebrates such a historic moment in baseball, but also because it honors one of the most significant men in the history of sports,” said Terry McGuirk, Braves chairman and CEO. “The statue is a vital piece of SunTrust Park, and we are delighted that the public can share in this moment while benefitting a wonderful cause.”
