‘The 100’ season 3 spoilers: The Ice Queen Nia cometh

The third season of “The 100” is not going to be coming onto The CW for quite a while still, it is nice to be coming into this article still with a little more news related to what is coming up ahead!

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, “Dallas” and “Desperate Housewives” alum Brenda Strong has been cast to play the role of Nia, the Queen of Ice Nation and someone who will have a tremendous impact on the story moving forward. This is a group that has already been established within the show’s mythology, but is about to explode outward even more than ever.

Per the casting notice, she is someone who is “holding onto power through ruthlessness and savvy,” and “she does what she must to maintain her power, even when it puts her at odds with those closest to her.” Therefore, expect someone who is commanding, and who really does not hold anything back. This is a fun role, and it’s good to see that the network found an extremely commanding performer to take on the part.

“The 100” is going to be filming for many of the months ahead, and if we’d have to guess, we’d say that season 3 will premiere either in January or March depending on how some of the network’s other shows fare during the early portion of their fall season. As of right now, the question marks are newcomer “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and also “Reign,” which is moving over to Friday nights for the first time and the audience will be tested as a result.
