She described Zimmerman as a "psychopath," police said.After some questioning, the woman told officers she no longer wanted to be involved in the investigation and that she and Zimmerman were only roommates, according to police.Officers said they observed the broken bottle in the driveway at the home. They knocked on the door, but no one answered.Police said they were unable to contact Zimmerman until Friday when he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon. He was later released after posting $5,000 bond.Zimmerman acknowledged he was in a romantic relationship with the woman but denied the allegations, according to police.Zimmerman made an initial appearance in court Saturday morning, represented by Don West, who was one of his attorneys in his 2013 murder trial. The judge ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim or enter Volusia County where the victim lives.He was also ordered to surrender all firearms."Even though there was no firearm alleged to have been used in this offense, I think in an abundance of caution, it would be best to go ahead and order you to surrender any firearms that you may have in your possession," the judge said.No one was injured in the incident.
