Aldi's National Brown Bread Baking Competition is back - and baking enthusiasts are in with a chance of earning some serious dough.

Now in its fifth year, the contest invites budding bakers from all 26 counties to dust off their aprons and rise to the occasion.

The winner’s brown bread will be stocked in all Aldi Stores across Ireland for twelve months and they will receive a share of the profits - which could reach a massive €15,000 for the year.

All bakers over the age of 16 are eligible to compete in the competition, which is co-sponsored by the National Ploughing Association (NPA) and the Irish Countrywomen’s Association (ICA).

Four finalists will be chosen to compete in the National Finals from 17 – 19 September at the Aldi Marquee during the 2019 National Ploughing Championships.

Bakers can enter via the Aldi heats by dropping their bread off at the following locations on the following dates:

  • Aldi Ireland Head Office, Newbridge Road, Naas, Co. Kildare (12 June 2019 from 10.30am – 1pm)
  •
