Ball Greezy at The Hall

After playing Palmetto’s The Hall last year with fellow Miami rapper Trina, Ball Greezy returns to the venue for a headlining show. The rapper also adds a healthy dose of sensual R&B to his music, which includes this year’s single “I’m in Love” and the 2018 full-length “Bae Day 2,” featuring guests like Trina and Snoop Dogg. Dave Koz and Friends at Van Wezel

Smooth jazz saxophonist Dave Koz returns to Van Wezel shortly after releasing his latest Christmas record “Gifts of the Season,” joined onstage by some of the album’s special guests. Those include Grammy-winning singer Melissa Manchester (“Through the Eyes of Love,” “Midnight Blue”), South African guitarist-vocalist Jonathan Butler, Danish saxophonist Michael Lington and bassist-singer Chris Walker. Renesito at Fogartyville

Cuban musician Renesito Avich celebrates five years living in Sarasota with this concert at Fogartyville. Avich moved from Havana to Sarasota to be closer to his family and quickly made a name for himself on the local music scene for playing the Cuban tres — a guitar-like instrument with three pairs of strings. Celtic Angels Christmas at Van Wezel

If you’re looking to add a little Irish flavor to your holiday celebrations, Celtic Angels Christmas has you covered. The vocal quintet perform Irish renditions of “Silent Night” and “In the Bleak Midwinter,” an instrumental version of “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “In Dulci Jubilo” as an Irish jig. The 93-years-young Tony Bennett is one of the most celebrated singers alive, with 19 Grammys including a Lifetime Achievement Award, thanks to his definitive renditions of standards like “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” and “Because of You.” He was discovered by a new generation in the ’90s, with his “MTV Unplugged” winning an Album of the Year Grammy, then again this decade for his collaborations with Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse. Terry Hanck Band at Englewoods on Dearborn

Terry Hanck is a highly respected blues saxophonist, winning back-to-back Blues Music Awards for Instrumentalist — Horn in 2016 and 2017, as well as one in 2012. The musicians he’s worked with include a decade in the band of Elvin Bishop, reuniting with him on Bishop’s 2011 live album “Raisin’ Hell Revue.” But in recent years, Hanck has been more active with his own group, most recently releasing this year’s “I Still Get Excited,” featuring special guests like Chris Cain and Rick Estrin of the Nightcats. 7 p.m. Wednesday; Englewoods on Dearborn, 362 W. Holiday Jazz Trolley and Pub Crawl

Local jazz artists celebrate the holiday season by performing in various downtown Sarasota venues, with a trolley transporting concertgoers around. Performers include Skip Conkling & the Dixie Mix (Amore), Synia Carroll & Bill Marcus (Art Ovation), Hot Club of SRQ (Aloft), Al Hixon Jazz Group (Bevardi’s Salute!), Renesito Avich (Clasico), Mark Moultrup Band (Fogartyville), Eddie Tobin (Hotel Indigo) and Fred Johnson Band (Raffurty’s). Duke Robillard Band at The Blue Rooster

Before Duke Robillard Band performs at this year’s Bradenton Blues Festival, the group will play a headlining show at Sarasota’s The Blue Rooster. Robillard’s decades-long career includes forming the group Roomful of Blues in the ’60s, playing with the Fabulous Thunderbirds in the ’90s and touring with Tom Waits and Bob Dylan in the ’00s and ’10s, respectively (as well as appearing on Dylan’s acclaimed album “Time Out of Mind.”) He’s also had a successful solo career, earning Blues Album Grammy nominations for 2009’s “Stomp! Jason Wilber at Music Compound

Two days before playing Ruth Eckerd Hall with folk legend John Prine, whose band he’s served as longtime guitarist for, Jason Wilber performs solo as part of the Listening Room of Sarasota concert series. Along with playing on Prine records including the Grammy-winning “Fair & Square,” Wilber is a talented singer-songwriter in his own right, being named one of 10 new country artists you need to know by Rolling Stone in 2017. Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters at Fogartyville

Asheville alt-country group Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters visit Fogartyville shortly after releasing their new EP “Christmas on a Greyhound Bus.” The original title track channels the melancholy of many of the best Christmas songs, with the EP rounded out by covers of the Willie Nelson-penned “Pretty Paper,” Buck Owens’ “Santa Looked Like a Lot Like Daddy” and more.
