Louis, Dennis Michael 75 years old, born 9/17/1943, passed 12/1/2018. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Lynne (Ripley) Louis, sons Michael (Sue) and James, siblings Ron (Judy), Chuck (Doris), David (Lisa), Bob (Peggy), Kathryn Louis, Patty Barber (Gary) and Steve (Marge), in-laws Terry & Carol Ripley, Marge & Jeff Thiele, Pat Carlson. Joining his loved ones in heaven: father Ben, mother Helene, father and mother-in-law, Raymond & Lois Ripley, brother-in-law John Carlson. An Air Force Veteran, Dennis graduated from MN State University, Mankato in 1968. He enjoyed a long career in computer field service. Denny loved learning and building. He earned a private pilot's license, completed course work in aircraft maintenance, and finished numerous auto repairs and home remodeling projects, including a 1000 sq. ft. garage addition. Denny was kind, supportive and a truly gentle man. His skills as a handyman were widely appreciated. A celebration of Dennis' life will be held on Friday, December 7th at Richfield Lutheran Church, 60th and Nicollet Ave S, Minneapolis. A gathering of friends and family will take place one hour prior to the 11 am service, with lunch following. Interment will take place in the spring at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to family.
