One of the reputations actors sometimes get is that they are desperate, and according to a new tweet from Roma Downey, Tom Arnold is not helping the situation.

Roma Downey is the wife of Mark Burnett, one of the biggest names in reality television production. He is the producing force behind hit shows like Survivor, Shark Tank, and yes, even The Apprentice

"Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop."

While Roma doesn't go into detail about what exactly she's referring to, she does give off the impression that Tom may have been eager to approach them about pitching a new show or to discuss one that he's already involved with.

Tom, who is also the ex-husband of comedian Roseanne Barr, was quick to dismiss Roma's accusation.

“Mark Burnett just went apes— & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD.”

He also alleges that Roma knocked a phone out of the hand of director Bryan Fogel and that Fogel has a video of the confrontation.

Tom later tweeted that he was sitting at the West LAPD filing charges against Burnett, who he referred to as President Donald Trump's "best bud." As it turns out, the Los Angeles Police Department was never contacted.

“There is no record of any incident with Tom Arnold. None. Period. Per our watch commander who handles that location or area where this so-called party happened. There was no police report filed,” an LAPD spokesperson officer added.

While nothing has been confirmed, the alleged altercation occurred just a few days before the premiere of Tom's new documentary series for Viceland, The Hunt for the Trump Tapes with Tom Arnold.

Mark Burnett was the executive producer of The Apprentice, the reality show which made Trump a household name.

It has been reported that there are unaired recordings during the filming of The Apprentice in which Donald Trump can be heard saying racist and sexist slurs. According to a report in USA Today, despite no current evidence, there are people associated with Trump, including former Apprentice contestant and White House aide, Omarosa, who claim that the tapes do exist.

That mystery, in a nutshell, is what Tom Arnold's new show is all about — finding those tapes.

So, you can imagine if he ran into the one person who would likely have access to those tapes — Mark Burnett — he's bound to get excited. The question is though, did Tom, Roma, or Mark actually engage in a physical confrontation?

Despite their working ties during the days of filming The Apprentice, Mark did not support Trump during his candidacy for President of the United States.
