French shares gain 0.03 pct on Friday

PARIS, June 8 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 rising by 0.03 percent, or 1.86 points, to close at 5,450.22 points.

Twelve of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French international luxury group Kering advanced 5.58 percent, the top gainers of the blue chips. Another French international luxury giant LVMH rose 1.42 percent, followed by French international aviation group Airbus that gained 1.25 percent.

French infrastructure materials producer Saint-Gobain went down by 3.86 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French hotel group Accor lost 1.36 percent, while French international retailer Carrefour edged down 1.19 percent. Enditem
