Man arrested on gun and drug charges following vehicle stop in Tyrrell County

The Tyrrell County Sheriff's Office says a Wanchese man was arrested on gun and drug charges following a vehicle stop.
On Saturday November 3rd at 9:00pm a Tyrrell County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. 64 East of Columbia for a traffic violation.
A search of the vehicle resulted in seizing 0.9 grams of crack cocaine and a 22. Caliber revolver.
As a result 67-year-old Maynard Hazen of Wanchese was arrested for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance with
the intent to sell and deliver and carrying a concealed weapon.
