Much of the Internet can rest easy after learning that Nev Schulman is not ending his MTV show “Catfish.”

On Tuesday, someone — presumably a hacker — tweeted from his account, “We are breaking up. Catfish is no longer.”

The single tweet caused a fury of disappointing messages from fans of the beloved fishy-dating show, which Schulman hosts.

Hours later, Schulman regained control over his account and deleted the inflammatory message.

“Catfish is alive and well!” he quelled fears. “As is my bromance with @maxjoseph.”

Co-star Max Joseph’s account was compromised as well. Joseph says his negative tweets about presidential candidate Donald Trump may have started the mini fire.

“Hey guys it seems like my Twitter was hacked by some real class act comedians,” he tweeted Tuesday. “It seems I got hacked bc I RT’d some #TrumpSoPoor jokes.”

There’s no indication when the sixth season of “Catfish” will return. In his off-screen life, Schulman is expecting a baby girl with girlfriend Laura Perlongo.
