31st Annual Sherman Arts Festival kicks off Sept. 21

SHERMAN, TX – Once again the Sherman Municipal Lawn will turn into a glorious hub of activity for the 31st Sherman Arts Festival.  This annual festival will feature art shows & sales, 5k, 10k and fun run, continual live music, pumpkin patch, pancake breakfast, used book sale, museum tours, t-shirt painting for kids, food vendors galore and up to 100 arts & craft vendors. It's a great place to begin your holiday shopping.

Disney Jr.’s “Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve” will perform a live concert in Kidd-Key Auditorium at 4pm.  Come follow the musical adventures of singer/train station manager Genevieve Goings plaus the dancing/beatboxing of Engineer DC. Kids of all ages will enjoy the journey to the jungle, the sea, and magical locales while experience songs from classic Disney films, including "Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious," "Under the Sea," and "When You Wish Upon a Star."  For more information or to purchase tickets visit www.CommunitySeries.net

Other special features for this year’s festival include Native American Artisans, and a special free encore performance from the Sherman Community Players of I’m Herbert by Robert Anderson on the Finley stage, staring Dick Malnory and Nancy Cassady at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
