Rescue pets of the week: Ricky and Kenya

From Staff Reports
Ricky

Ricky came to us with his littermates nearly two months ago to find a new home. Both of his siblings have found their way into new families, but Ricky hasn't had any luck yet. His bashful nature has him hiding in the back of his kennel most of the day and due to an old injury, his right eye gives him a different look.

He may be fearful of new things, but Ricky is extremely affectionate and his purr motor is in good working order. A mellow household might be best for him, but a little patience and TLC will go a long way in helping him find his courage.

At 5.5 months old, Ricky will qualify for our Name Your Own Price promotion.

Kenya

Kenya is an 8-year-old spayed Miniature Pinscher mix looking for a home where she can be the only dog. According to her previous owner, Kenya is well housetrained but will not signal that she needs to go out, so a consistent schedule is best for her.

She has done well with cats and children in the past and is known to be quite lively and energetic. Kenya requires a daily medication for heart disease but otherwise is believed to be in good health. Stop by the shelter to meet Kenya and give her a chance to show you how truly lovable she is.
