MANILA, AR (KAIT) - The search of a Mississippi County home Wednesday netted meth, pills, a 12-gauge shotgun, and the arrest of a man on multiple felonies, Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook said Thursday.

Michael Tarver of Manila was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday after Mississippi County deputies, Manila police, and probation/parole officers went to Tarver's home on West County Road 378 south of Manila.

Officers found a bank bag with 20 grams of meth, a set of digital scales and a glass pipe for smoking meth, Cook said, noting officers also located a Harrington and Richardson 12-gauge shotgun, 20 Klonopin pills, three Oxycodone and 10 Xanax pills as well as a box of 12-gauge shotgun rounds.

Tarver was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone), possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by certain persons and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Cook said Manila police played a key role in the arrest of Tarver.
