Delano George "Paz" Paczkowski

Delano George "Paz" Paczkowski, 68, Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Delano, son of Joe and Ruby (Overbeck) Paczkowski, was born in Fargo, ND, on October 12, 1949. He attended Jamestown High, graduating in 1968. Delano married Candice in 1973 and was blessed with 3 children. They began their married life in Delano's hometown of Jamestown, ND, where his friends knew him as Paz'. His family and sales career moved them to Streeter, ND, and, four years later to Finley, ND, before retiring in Fargo, ND. A fun loving and social man, Delano enjoyed time with family and diverse groups of friends. Delano was an avid gardener, hunter, and RedHawks baseball fan. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus.

Delano is survived by his wife of 45 years, Candice (Schopp), Fargo, ND; two children, Rhonda (Brent) Johnson, San Antonio, TX, and Rick (Nicole) Paczkowski, Mount Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Colton, Klein, Kate, and Elle; four siblings, Sharon (Dave) O'Haver, Carmel, IN, Darwin (Darlene) Paczkowski, Elroy, AZ, Sandee (Mike) Buhrt, Frankfort, MI, and Carol (Rod) Bischoff, Helena, MT; seven nephews and nieces, and dozens of others who knew him as Uncle Del'.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Renee.

Visitation: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Vigil: 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the St. James Basilica in Jamestown, ND.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery
