Sharon Jacobson was born in Faith MN on August 3, 1939, the daughter of Olaf and Irene Brown of Bagley MN. She was baptized at St Olaf Lutheran Church in Faith, MN and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Bagley, MN. After graduating from Bagley High School, Sharon married Dean Jacobson in August 1957 at First Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN.

Sharon's career as a bookkeeper included jobs at Cariveau Advertising Agency, Red River Potato Growers Association, Vaughn Broadcasting Group and Northeast Human Services Center. Sharon and Dean moved to Park Rapids, MN in 1998 after residing in East Grand Forks since 1959.

Sharon loved gardening, biking and reading. Her love for gardening and the outdoors became a passion to help create the Hubbard Pines Memorial Garden at Hubbard Methodist Church.

Sharon passed away Friday May 24 2019. Sharon spent the last four years of her life in treatment for cancer, with her faith allowing her to live and contribute to the lives of others during her illness.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dean Jacobson of Park Rapids; her daughter, Shannon Palma (Mark) of Cameron, WI; two grandchildren, Michael of Rice Lake WI and Kelly of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Richard Brown (Mary) of Ortonville, MN and Rowland Brown (Jeanine) of Armington, IL; brother in law, Jerome (Rochelle) of Bagley; sister in law, DeVonna of Bagley; and two aunts, Ina France (Marvin) of Pine City MN and Sylvia Masters (Don) of Pine River MN.

She is preceded in death by her sister Beverley Brown; 2 brothers in law, Roger and Howard; sister in law, Delores; her parents and grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Hubbard United Methodist Church in Hubbard, MN with Pastor Laurie Kantonen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be in the Bagley City Cemetery in Bagley, MN.
