Man arrested for allegedly asking a young teenager for sexual favors

Alaska State troopers in Nome have arrested a man for allegedly making attempts to engage in online sexual activity with a 14 year old girl.
Troopers say, on Friday, 50 year old Herbert Barr Sr. admitted to communicating with the teenager.
On July 17 Nome AST received a report of a young teenager in Elim being contacted online by Barr asking her for sexual favors.
Troopers say an investigation showed Barr knew the girl was 14 years old.
Barr has been remanded for Online Enticement of a Minor and Distribution of Child Pornography and is being held without bail until he is arraigned.
