Jemima E. “Jimmie” Diehl, 80, of Mohnton R.3, Berks County, formerly of Allentown, died Thursday at her farmhouse in Brecknock Township. She was the wife of the late Harrison L. Diehl.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry A. and Hattie Blanche (Horne) Grammes. Her grandfather was founder and owner of the former L.F. Grammes and Sons Inc., Allentown.

Diehl was a former Republican committeewoman in Brecknock.

She was a member of Reading Moravian Church.

She was a 1930 graduate of Lititz Hall Academy and a 1934 graduate of Moore Institute, School of Design for Women, Philadelphia.

Survivors: Son, Harrison L. Jr. of Mount Joy, Lancaster County; daughter Eleanore, wife of John Hilferty of Newtown, Bucks County; sisters, Mrs. Blanche Doll of Allentown and Mrs. June Kemper of Bakerton, Ky.; brother Harry of Allentown, and four grandchildren.
