Cleaning Company Employee Checks Fraud; Cocaine Found: Blotter

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 45-year-old Beach Park man was arrested at 8:49 p.m. on June 13 and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was pulled over for an equipment violation near the intersection of Route 41 and Deerpath Road.

A 22-year-old Detroit woman was arrested at 2:37 a.m. on June 17 near the intersection of Route 41 and Gage Lane and charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop for a moving violation.

Dorota H. Redzisz, 39, of the 5100 block of North East River Road in Chicago, was arrested at 1 p.m. on June 18 in connection and charged with forgery in connection with an offense in the 100 block of North Avenue. The case involved fraudulent checks worth more than $2,000 and a joint investigation with detectives from Winnetka, who found a suspect who worked in Lake Forest for a cleaning company on the date checks went missing and were fraudulently cashed. Redzisz is also facing additional forgery charges in Cook County with alleged victims identified in Northbrook and Winnetka and two separate Lake County counts of identity theft in Buffalo Grove, according to police and court records.

Adam Perez-Santiago, 33, of the 2800 block of Osage Circle in Waukegan, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. on June 20 and charged with felony cocaine possession after he was pulled over for speeding near the intersection of Green Bay and Westleigh roads. Police smelled marijuana coming from the car. When they searched the car they found drug paraphernalia, cannabis and cocaine in the center console. He was arrested and further questioned before being charged. He was also cited for possession of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and speeding between 15 and 20 mph above the speed limit.
