The Harris Chain is good for bass at daybreak.

FRESHWATER: Try the Harris Chain at daybreak for bass. Plastic frogs and lizards work well in shallow waters near lily pads, docks and points. Switch to deeper, grassy waters at mid-morning and use Senko lures and Texas-rigged plastic worms or flukes. Work baits very slowly for best results.

Look for bait and you should find action in the Indian River.

SALTWATER: Try the Indian River in the Scottsmoor area for trout, redfish and few black drum. Use surface plugs around bait pods at daybreak for trout and redfish. A few snook, ladyfish, jacks and small tarpon could be in the mix. Try shrimp and shrimp imitation lures in sand holes at mid-morning. Redfish and black drum will also hit cut crabs.
